(Man lost near Superstition Mountain)...It happened Monday night.

County Sheriff's communications contacted the El Centro Sector Border Patrol communications to relay a distress call. A man who said he had entered the US illegally said he was lost and without water. Border Patrol agents, using GPS coordinance from the phone call, began the search. At around 1:00 Tuesday morning the found the man northwest of Superstition Mountain. It was determined he was the person who had made the distress call. Agents gave the man water and said he appeared to be in good health and did not appear in need of medical treatment. The man was placed under arrest after it was determined he was a nativ of Mexico and had entered the US illegally. He was processed at a Border Patrol rally point and deported back to he country of origin.
