El Centro Police made a traffic stop Wednesday that resulted in citations and more.

Police were notified by an Automated License Plate Reader at Imperial and Main that a car had just gone through the intersection with a license plate that had been reported stolen. A traffic stop was made on the car at Imperial and Aurora Avenues. Officers discovered that one of the occupants of the car had an outstanding warrant. The rental car was searched as was a local motel and 5 cell phones and a tablet were recovered as well as some illegal drugs. Two people were cited and released facing charges of possession of stolen property and several other violations.
