(Single vehicle collision)...The vehicle crashed into a canal.

The California Highway Patrol says the vehicle went into a canal at Highway 86 and Bannister Road, near Westmorland Wednesday night. At around 11:30 pm, the vehicle went off the roadway and crashed into the canal. One person had to be physically removed from the vehicle after refusing to exit. Another person suffered what was described as minor injuries and was taken to Pioneers Memorial Hospital for treatment, and was placed into Border Patrol custody. The CHP is investigating the incident.
