(Baja almost ready to vaccinate)...COVID 19 vaccinations.
The first doses are expected to arrive in Baja California Tuesday. Officials say vaccinations in Baja California will begin in February and March. The first to be offered a vaccination will be the elderly and patients with hypertension, diabetes and other pre-existing conditions. The Secretary of Health in Baja California says 9,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID 19 vaccine will arrive Tuesday, escorted by the National Guard. It will be transferred to a secret military location previously established by the Secretary of National Defense, The State Health Secretary and the Mexican Institute of Socal Security. The Baja Health Secretary Alonso Perez Rico said Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has said the vaccine will be for everyone, and it will be completely free, but distribution has to be in an orderly way. The military will guard the immunizations to prevent any robbery attempts.
