The El Centro City Council celebrated National Teacher Appreciation Week.

The Council recognized Dr. Tom Tacke for being Teacher of the Year at Central Union High School. Dr. Tacke is a Music and Health teacher at Central. He works with many of his students, artists, and athletes on various media projects including original music recordings and podcasts of features through SpartanSound Productions on campus. The City Council pointed out Tackes' dedication, passion, and the positive impact he has made on the lives of his students.
