The number of deaths attributed to the COVID-19 virus has reached 388.

That's an increase of 8 over the previous day. As of Wednesday morning there are 164 COVID-19 hospitalized patients in the Imperial Valley. El Centro Regional Medical Center reported that 158 of the hospitals 161 licensed beds are full and that 117 of those patients are COVID-19 positive. Overall in Imperial County there are now 2,621 individuals that are COVID-19 positive. That is down from 2,645 the previous day. There were 3 ICU beds available in the Valley as of Wednesday morning. 

Over 900 doses of the Pfizer vaccine were expected to arrive in the Valley Wednesday with front-line health care workers set to receive the first inoculations.
