A motorcycle rider suffered major injuries when he collided with an SUV late Tuesday afternoon.

The accident was reported shortly before 6:00 p.m. at 8th and Bradshaw Streets in El Centro. El Centro Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene and the motorcycle rider was flown by Mercy Air Ambulance to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs with what were determined to be major injuries. The driver of the SUV was not injured. The accident remains under investigation.
