El Centro Police are investigating an apparent drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon.

Very little information is available at this time but at about 1:20 p.m. Wednesday a car pulled up in front of a residence in the 600 block of Euclid in El Centro. Two shots were fired from the vehicle. A short time later El Centro police were notified by El Centro Regional Medical Center Emergency Room staff that there was a gunshot victim in the hospital. The victim was reportedly shot in the foot. No other information was released and the incident remains under investigation.
