(Brush Fire)...It began Monday south of Tecate.

The smoke and glow from the fire could be see in the Imperial County and all over San Diego County over night, The fire began Monday south of the City of Tecate, and strong winds blew the blaze west. Mexican officials estimate the fire burned almost 10,000 acres, reaching the outskirts of Tijuana and Rosarito. It has burned mostly brush, but officials say three mobile homes wre also destroyed. No injuries have been reported. Fire officials say the fire is about 70 percent contained, at last report.
