It’s official. Imperial County , as well as all of Southern California , is under a Stay at Home Order.
California State Officials have announced that the Intensive Care Unit (ICU ) capacity in Southern California has dropped below 15%. This means The Regional Stay at Home Order must be implemented. The Order requires that private gatherings of any size be discontinued and all operations except for critical infrastructure and retail must close. The Order also requires 100% masking and physical distancing in all sectors.
The Regional Stay at Home Order will go into effect at midnight Sunday , December 6 , 2020. At that time indoor and outdoor playgrounds , indoor recreational facilities, hair salons and barber shops , personal care services , bars , breweries , and movie theaters must close.
Restaurants will be allowed to be open only for take-out , pick-up or delivery. Retail stores and shopping centers may operate at 20% capacity with entrance metering and no eating or drinking in store. Places of worship are permitted outdoor services only.
