An ultralight aircraft dropped a load of drugs Thursday evening.
U.S. Border Patrol agents in Calexico heard an ultralight aircraft enter the U. S. from Mexico. Agents on the ground coordinated with Remote Video Surveillance System operators and were able to see the ultralight descend to a low altitude near Barbara Worth and Heber Roads and then climb for a return trip back to Mexico. Agents were able to locate three large bundles and uncovered 120 small individual packages. The 120 smaller packages contained methamphetamine with a total weight of over 151 pounds. The larger packages contained over 12 pounds of cocaine. Total value of the drugs was estimated at just under a half a million dollars.
