(Feeding the less fortunate)...At least one non-profit will provide Thanksgiving Day meals.
Feed the Need out of Brawley has been hosting Thanksgiving Day meals for the less fortunate for the past several years. They say that tradition will continue this year. It will be a little bit different, however. The organization had been planning a traditional sit-down meal in their recently obtained facility. Those plans had to be revised due to the pandemic. They will still be providing traditional Thanksgiving meals, but this year the meals will be packaged and sealed, and then handed out to those in need. The organizers say they have donated clothes the homeless and others can choose from. The garments include sweaters and other warm clothing just in time for the colder temperatures.
