The Imperial Valley Community Foundation celebrates National Philanthropy Day Thursday.

The 8th Annual Celebration honored a number of Imperial Valley individuals and organizations, The individual  honorees are Sue and Bill Brandt , Jill Deen , Chuck Fisher , Cynda Henry , Jaime Honold , Kristine Kussman , Jeff Lamoure , Wanda Layton , Katie Luna , Mary Kay Painter , Bill and Marybelle Plourd , Aaron Popejoy and Goerge and Jaclyn Ray. Organizations recognized are Calexico Neighborhood House and the Scaroni Family of Comapnies. According to the Imperial Valley Community Foundation they are celebrating the people and organizations who make the Imperial Valley a great place to live.
