There are errors in Imperial County Election ballots.
The Imperil County Registrar of Voters has found a problem with 623 ballots in the Imperial Community College District Area 4 race. A Brawley resident noticed that their ballot did not have the IVC Area 4 race listed. An investigation by the Registrar of Voters office found that a portion of one precinct in the City of Brawley should have been part of another precinct that is in the Area 4 political division. Registered voters within the identified area will receive new ballots. Affected voters should receive the new ballots in 5 to 10 business days. If a voter already returned a completed ballot they can still use the new ballot. The Registrar of Voters office is currently pulling out any ballots that were returned from the affected area to void those ballots. The candidates in the Area 4 race , Yulil Alonzo-Garza and Isabel Solis , have been notified of the error.
Ballots in the El Centro Elementary School District race have a minor error. The ballot has candidate Michael Ray Minnix name misspelled. The name Michael is spelled MICHALE on the ballot. Voters were notified by post card of the error.
