The Board of Supervisors approve a letter)....The unanimous vote came at this week's Board meeting.

The letter will be sent to the California Democratic Party Rules Committee, requesting action against the Imperial County Democratic Central Committee for baseless allegations made against County Executive Officer Tony Rouhotas Jr and Registrar of Voters Debbie Porter. The Board was notified in late August that the local Executive Committee held a special meeting to adopt a resolution of no confidence in the CEO and ROV. The resolution alleged disparate treatment of County citizens based on race and called for their immediate resignation. The County never received any formal complaints or inquiry from those the allegedly experienced discrimination. The County says the onlyt communication regarding the resolution was from Chris Stampolis, the apparent parlimentarian of the committee. The county says no such position can be found withing the Imperial County Democratic Central Committee bylaws. In addition, Mr Stampolis neither resides in nor is a registered voter of Imperial County. Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Luis Plancarte said unfounded allegations of racism and unfair treatment are unacceptable in any situation. He said he looks forward to a review by the California Democratic party
