(Holiday Stats)...They were issued by the California Highway Patrol.

The stats are the result of the CHP Maximum Enforcement Period. The CHP goes into their MEP every Holiday. The Maximum Enforcement began at 6:00 pm Friday evening and ended at 11:59 Monday night. During the 3 day period there was a fatal injury collision, in which two people died. There were 3 property damage only collisions, one minor injury collision and one DUI arrest in the El Centro Sector. Winterhaven had one property damage collision and zero DUI arrests. The Calexico Inspection Facility had no arrests and no collisions.
