The latest numbers for COVID-19 cases in Imperial were released Thursday morning.

The number of deaths remained at 296. So far there has been a total of 60,532 individual tests , of those 10,773 came back positive for the virus. From Wednesday to Thursday there were an additional 849 tests added to the total and just 27 showed positive for the coronavirus. The number of individuals counted as active for the disease is 754 , one less than the day before.

Calexico continues to tally the most COVID-19 cases with 3,300. El Centro has 2,823. Brawley 1,880. Imperial 965. Heber 468. Holtville 441. Calipatria 292. The Salton Sea area 181. Winterhaven 149. Westmorland 144.
