(Border Patrol rescues two more)…The latest rescue was Thursday.
At around 8:00 Thursday morning El Centro Sector communications received a call from a 911 dispatcher about a distress call from a man who said he and another man were lost and in need of assistance. The dispatcher provided the Border Patrol agents with the man’s location via GPS coordinates gathered from the mobile phone. The information was relayed to agents working with the National Guard. They flew a Blackhawk helicopter to the area. The two were located in the Jacumba Mountains within minutes. A Border Patrol BORSTAR Team medically evaluated the two and they stated they did not need any further medical attention. It was determined the two were Mexican Nationals who had entered the US illegally. They were processed at an El Centro Sector rally point, before being deported to their country of origin.
