(Previously deported gang member arrested)…It happened Monday morning.

Border Patrol agents found the man in the Jacumba Wilderness, about 29 miles west of the Calexico Downtown Port of Entry. The 42 year old man was taken to the El Centro Border Patrol Station for immigration and criminal history screening. It was determined the man was a Mexican National who had entered the US illegally. A records check revealed the man was a documented Paisas gang member with an extensive criminal history. He had been convicted several times for felony narcotics possession, as well as vehicle theft. In total, he had been sentenced to over 8 year’s incarceration for his numerous convictions. His crimes had all been committed in San Luis Obispo and Sacramento. In 2010, a judge in Eloy, Arizona had ordered him deported back to Mexico. The gang member was being held in federal custody for criminal prosecution.
