(8 more rescues)…They were all made by the US Border Patrol.
The rescues were in three separate calls. The first two were late last week. Both in the Jacumba Wilderness region. Thursday afternoon Mexicali officials notified the Border Patrol of two individuals who had called for help. The two men were located and hydrated by the agents. On Friday Border Patrol agents located five men who had made a distress call. The latest rescue was Monday near Ocotillo Wells. A man called and said he was lost and out of water. All 8 were examined medically. After it was determined none had suffered any injuries, and it was determined they were Mexican Nationals who had entered the US illegally, they were processed and deported back to their country of origin.
