(Convicted Sex Offender arrested)…It occurred Friday night.

Border Patrol agents were patrolling about 17 miles east of the Calexico Downtown Port when they encountered a man suspected of entering the US illegally. The man was placed under arrest and taken to the El Centro Border Patrol Station for processing. A records check revealed the man, a 35 year old Mexican National, had a conviction on March 28, 2007, for lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14 years of age out of Monterrey, California. He had been sentenced to one year confinement and 3 years probation. In addition, he had been deported from the United States in 2011. The man was processed criminally for illegal re-entry.
