(More than 150 pounds of meth)…It was found early Saturday morning.
Around 1:00 am Saturday Border Patrol agents observed an ultralight aircraft flying at a low altitude east of Highway 111 and south of Jasper Road. Agents responded to the area and located a yellow duffle bag and a metal basket on a field road 100 yards northwest of Jasper and Meadow Roads. Inside the duffle bag, the agents found multiple packages wrapped in cellophane. The packages, basket and duffle bag were taken to the Calexico Border Patrol Station. The packages tested positive for methamphetamine. The packages weighed a total of 151.25 pounds with an estimated value of $340.312. The packages were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
