(Clean-up ceremony)…It was held Monday morning.

Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Luis Plancarte was joined by District 4 Supervisors Ryan Kelley, and representatives from the California Office of Emergency Services, EFR Environmental Services, Team Rubicon and Republic Waste Services, to launch clean-up efforts of the damage caused by the Niland Fire that occurred June 28th in Niland. Cal ORS has assisted by coordinating efforts with the County of Imperial and outside agencies to adhere to the proper debris management guidelines. EFR Environmental Services assisted with Asbestos Testing, Asbestos Mitigation and household hazardous waste removal. Team Rubicon will be removing the debris from the properties and clearing them for the families to be able to rebuild. Republic is working with the team to provide waste bins and hauling the debris to landfills.
