The Imperial County Public Health Department released the latest numbers relating to the COVID-19 pandemic at noon Friday.

The number of deaths jumped by 8 in the 24 hours since the last report , going from 148 to 156. The number of individuals who have tested positive increased by 87 over the same period. An additional 475 tests results were counted in that time frame while the number of active cases dropped from 1,078 to 1,022.
