Brawley Police and Fire Departments are investigating a Monday morning fire.

According to  press release from the Brawley Police Department . Police and Fire personnel responded to a fire reported at about 8:30 a.m. Monday. Initial reports were that a couch was on fire in an abandoned house in the 1100 block of Main Street. While battling the blaze , a deceased man was discovered in the house. Police identified that man as 22-year old Nathan Daniel Cazares of Westmoreland. Cause of death remains under investigation. Anyone that might have any information about the incident is asked to contact the Brawley Police Department.
