Thirteen illegal aliens were rescued from rugged terrain along the U.S. - Mexico border.

At about 6:45 p.m. Saturday , Mexican officials notified the U.S. Border Patrol that they had received a distress call from of group of individuals lost in the rugged desert area south of Ocotillo. Border Patrol agents on patrol in the area responded to location and additional agents from the Special Operations Detachment and BORSTAR personnel also responding. At about 8:25 p.m. Mexican officials said they received a second distress call after the original group split up. About an hour later the first group of illegal aliens , 6 individuals , was located and about 2 hours later the second group with seven individuals was located. All 13 subjects , ten adults and three juveniles , all from Mexico ,  were medically evaluated and then returned to Mexico
