The National Weather Service says temperatures will be increasing the next few days and become very hot this coming week.
Summer officially arrived Saturday with temperatures in the Imperial and Yuma Valleys hitting 106 , Sunday will go up another degree or two and then for Monday through Friday look for highs approaching 110 degrees. Overnight lows will drop to the mid to upper 70's with winds primarily from the south gusting 15 to 20 mph in the afternoons. The National Weather Service says high pressure is building over the region driving temperatures higher. The temperatures are considered normal for the desert southwest.
