Two inmates housed at the Imperial County Regional Adult Detention Facility have tested positive for COVID-19.
According to the Imperial County Sheriff's office both inmates have been placed in isolation. One of the inmates symptoms were detected during the booking process and the individual was placed immediately in the Medical Isolation Cell. The second inmate was in a housing unit for several days prior to getting tested for the virus. Other inmates in that unit have been placed in quarentine and are under observation by medical staff.
