The Imperial Irrigation District has hired a new deputy energy manager.

Sandra Blain , most recently Vice President of utility services with Planet Forward Energy Services, will be in charge of distribution planning and engineering , substation engineering , standards , energy project management and customer project development. She will also assist in setting strategy to meet the needs of the District. Blain will begin work with the IID on Monday , April 13.
