The number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to grow.

As of Wednesday evening there are 43 confirmed positive cases of the virus in Imperial County. The Imperial County Public Health Department update shows that a total of 271 individuals have been tested with 219 showing negative results for the illness. There are an additional 9 tests pending results from the San Diego County Public Health Department. Numbers of pending tests from private sources is not available. The cases continue to increase and according to County Health Officer Dr. Stephan Munday , we can expect to see the number of individuals testing positive to keep going up over the next several weeks.
