The California Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon.

The accident was reported shortly after 3:00 p.m. in the area of W. Carter Road and Loveland Road. The vehicle , an IID sedan , was reported to be fully submerged in a canal. Initial reports indicate that the vehicle swerved , ran off the road and plunged into the canal. There were no injuries reported.
