Two more people have tested positive for COVID-19.
The Imperial County Public Health Department announced Saturday evening that the new cases involve two individuals that were exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 case while traveling outside the United States. The couple are not hospitalized and are recovering at home in isolation. This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Imperial County to six.
Dr. Stephen Munday , County Health Officer said , " pubic health staff is working around the clock with our healthcare providers to make sue those who meet the criteria for testing are able to access the test. As we conduct more testing we expect to find additional positive cases in our community. I can not stress enough the importance of following the governor's order to stay home and practice social distancing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to others".
