(Results could be announced Tuesday evening)…The City of El Centro is holding a press conference at 6:00 pm.
It will be held in the El Centro Regional Medical Center Medical Office Building at 1271 Ross Avenue, in the 2nd floor conference room. They will discuss the patient that met the criteria for COVID-19 testing, and possibly announce the results of the tests. They also want to ensure the community at large that the established protocols by the California Department of Public Health and Center for Disease Control are being followed. El Centro Mayor Efrain Silva says Imperial County residents should feel safe and confident that their local government and health care providers at ECRMC are prepared to treat patients with COVID-19. Silva said they were ready to take the necessary steps to protect the public’s health during this time.
