(3 El Centro Schools receive social media threats)…El Centro Police were called in to investigate all the threats.
Sunday night a threat against Southwest High School was posted on Snap Chat. A similar post focusing on Central Union High School was discovered Monday morning. Police say a third post, referencing Wilson Jr. High School was discovered Monday afternoon. In the High Schools students were dismissed early. Not because of the threats, but because of the overwhelming disruption to the campuses that was caused by unsubstantiated information posted on social media websites. In all three cases, police found all the threats were not credible, and students and the schools were not in any danger.
