(The Dangers of Vaping)….The topic of three public meetings.
It is part of the Imperial County Office of Education How to Keep Our Kids Safe Free Community Events for Parents and Students. Central Union High School District, Brawley Unified High School District, and Calexico Unified School District have partnered with ICOE, the Coalition for a Tobacco-free Imperial County, the Imperial County Public Health Department, El Centro Regional Medical Center, El Centro Police Department, and other agencies to help parents and students understand the impact of vaping. They will be offering three community events to highlight the dangers of vaping in an effort to help reduce the health risk behaviors among students. The first event will be held in El Centro, March 11, at the Southwest High School Jimmie Cannon Theater, beginning at 6:00 pm. The 2nd one will be held Thursday, March 19 in the New Gymnasium at Brawley Union High School beginning at 5:30 pm. The 3rd event will be held on Thursday, April 2nd at Varner Gymnasium at Calexico High School. Parents and students are encouraged to attend.
