(A tribute to Larry Gilbert)…Mr. Gilbert passed away February 2nd.
A Memorial Service was held Saturday. Mr. Gilbert had not only been a Farmer in Imperial County for the past several decades, but was also deeply involved in his community. He had a reputation of being extremely knowledgeable on issues he was concerned with. He is survived by his wife Cassie, family, children and grandchildren. The Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors will adopt a Resolution of Tribute to Larry Gilbert at their meeting Tuesday afternoon. The Board convenes into Public Session at 1:00 Tuesday afternoon. They meet in Condit Auditorium on Broadway in El Centro.
