(Latest Abatti litigation going to trial)…Michael Abatti filed a legal action against the IID.

The contempt action against the Imperial Irrigation District contends the District violated a previous court order concerning water deliveries. The action was heard in Superior Court Thursday. The Attorney for the IID argued the action failed to describe the alleged contempt, and therefore should not move forward. Judge Anderholt agreed the action did not meet the threshold, but said the legality would be resolved at a hearing. That hearing was set for February 14th.
