(Another mental health evaluation)…It will be the third one for Tania Ramirez.
The 24 year old Brawley woman is being held in the murder of her 17 month child. She was in court recently. During the brief hearing the District Attorney’s office asked for the new evaluation. It is to determine if Ramirez is mentally competent to stand trial. If it is determined she is, the D.A.’s office is expected to file murder charges. The prosecutors indicated the child had died as a result of starvation. Ramirez is expected back in court February 10th.
