(IID Student Employment Program)…It was recognized by the Imperial Irrigation District Directors.
The ceremony was held at the IID Board meeting Tuesday. The District has 38 college students who are employed this summer for up to 90 days between the end of the spring semester and the start of the fall semester. They assist the District with full-time work, while learning valuable skills to help prepare them for future careers. The students, who must meet grade point average, enrollment and employment criteria, and are screened for placement, work in a variety of areas across the district, including water, energy, human resources, information technology, general services, engineering and more. All participants are either enrolled as full-time college students or are recent college graduates.
