Yuma Fire Department responded to a collapsed ceiling at Palmcroft Elementary School Monday morning.
The report was received shortly before 11:00 a.m. that a concrete ceiling had collapsed injuring two workmen. The ceiling section was in a breezeway area near the school's office. The school was not in session and only workmen were in the area. Two of the workers were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center with what were termed non-life threatening injuries.
Personnel from the City of Yuma Building Safety Division were called to the scene to inspect the damage and determine what would be needed for the work to be done safely.
