A Westmorland restaurant was recognized by Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia as the Small Business of the Year for the 56th California State Assembly District.

The Original Town Pump has been a North end fixture for generations. Mary and Buddy Brown purchased the restaurant in the 1970's and have since turned it into a premiere steak house. The Westmorland restaurant and Brownie's Diner in Brawley have since been passed on to the son and daughter-in-law , Gabriel and Juanita Rebollar.

The Original Town Pump now has a capacity of 175 and offers Brandt Beef. The Rebollars have strived to hire local and give back to the community. The restaurant is known for creating a memorable dining experience and attracting a loyal following.
