(IVDM parking lot will be paved, and more)….The County Board of Supervisors approved the project.

Imperial Valley Desert Museum had requested the funds from the Air Pollution Control District. The APCD had to get permission from the Board for a budget transfer. The funds requested, $325,000, will come from the APSD Dust Mitigation Program. The funds will pay for the paving of the driveway and parking lot, as well as underground the power lines and lighting at the facility. Museum officials say the project will attract more visitors, making the Museum more accessible, and allow for more projects at the Museum. The Imperial Valley Desert Museum is located in Ocotillo, off Interstate 8.
