Brawley Police have three suspects in custody following an armed robbery reported Saturday.

According to Brawley Police , the robbery was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of 650 N. Imperial Avenue in Brawley. Officers responding to the call contacted a woman who told them that three subjects robbed her while brandishing a firearm and a knife. During the investigation officers developed information that led them to the three suspects inside a residence in the 600 block of North Imperial Avenue. The three were identified as 18-year old Armoune Smith of El Centro , and two juveniles , a 17-year old El Centro resident and a 16-year old Brawley resident. Officers located the firearm and knife believed to have been used in the robbery. The firearm was later determined to be an imitation handgun. All three suspects were arrested and charged with the crime.
