The California Highway Patrol has been busy with several accidents reported from Monday night through early Tuesday morning.
At about 10:30 p.m. Monday officers responded to the area of Interstate 8 near the junction with Highway 98 east of Holtville. A big rig went out of control and rolled over. The driver was not injured but the tractor spilled diesel fuel that required clean up by a hazardous materials team.
At about 5:45 a.m. an accident was reported near Brockman and Kubler Roads when a vehicle collided with a farm tractor. The vehicle ran off the roadway and came to rest in a drainage ditch. One of the drivers suffered minor injuries.
At about 6:57 a.m. Tuesday a solo vehicle roll over accident was reported at Schartz Road just west of Dogwood Road. No one was injured in the accident.
And at 6:59 a.m. another accident was reported . this one at Highway 98 and Weed Road. A vehicle ended up in a canal. The Imperial Irrigation District dive team was activated to recover the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
