(Imperial County voter turn-out)….It was not good.
Despite all the controversy, turnout went as expected. Registrar of Voters Debi Porter had said she expected a low voter turnout. She said that is normal for a Primary Election. Unofficially, voter turnout Tuesday was 16.66 percent. Out of just over 68,000 registered voters in Imperial County, only 11, 349 casts a ballot. That number is likely to change somewhat, as ballots are still being counted.
