Several local agencies will be available to check child car seats.

As part of Child Safety Awareness Day this Saturday, Certified Child Safety Technicians will be available for car seat inspections and education. The Imperial County Public Health Department, California Highway patrol, Imperial County Sheriff's Office, and First 5 Imperial will host the event from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at parking lot adjacent to the Health Department in the 900 block of Broadway in El Centro. Parents must schedule an appointment by calling 442-265-1442. The child must be present and in the car seat for the event.
