A Saturday morning police pursuit ended in an arrest.

El Centro Police officers on patrol in the area of the 1200 block of Heil Avenue saw a vehicle commit multiple vehicle code violations. When officers attempted to stop the car, the driver failed to yield and took off. Officers pursued and attempted two consecutive Pursuit Intervention Techniques or PIT maneuvers. The pursued driver lost control and rammed into a patrol car. With help from the Imperial Police Department, and the deployment of K-9 Maverick, the driver was apprehended, arrested, and booked into Imperial County Jail on multiple felon charges.
