A traffic accident early Saturday morning resulted in injuries and an arrest for a driver.

The accident was reported at about 224 a.m. Saturday near the Border Patrol checkpoint. The car was apparently traveling eastbound on State Route 78 when t went out of control and rolled over. The driver was trapped in the vehicle for a short time. The driver was flown from the scene by Mercy Air Ambulance with what were described as minor injuries. An open container of alcohol was found on the floor of the vehicle, The driver is suspected of driving under the influence.
