A car. burst in flames and the driver fled the scene of an accident.

At abut 5:30 p.m. Thursday the California Highway Patrol responded to the report of an accident on State Route 111 at McCabe Road. Two vehicles were involved. One of the vehicles continued a short distance from the scene of the crash where the driver bailed out of the car and ran. The car caught fire and was fully engulfed in flames. An individual in the other vehicle sustained injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
