The Calipatria City Council meets Tuesday.

There is a rather short open session agenda but a lengthy closed session docket. Closed session will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the agenda items include a conference with legal counsel about exiting litigation, the council will also meet with legal counsel about the initiation of litigation in two cases. Other items include a conference with real property negotiators on terms with Desert Pro Ventures, LLC and also Best S.T.E.P. Forward. The open session agenda includes the second reading of an ordinance regulating fireworks in the city. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers.
